Restorative yoga is designed to reverse the effects of stress on the body, emotions and mind. This ultra-relaxing yoga style is gaining popularity in today’s world where stress levels can reach alarming heights and stress related illness is the norm rather than the exception. This style requires no skill as a”yogi”. The postures are easy, comfortable, customised and fully supported with bolsters and pillows and are held for several minutes in a comfortable dimly lit room. The relaxing atmosphere is aided by gentle music and prompted visualisations aimed at soothing a tired and stressed nervous system. It will leave you feeling refreshed and calm, with long term health benefits for those suffering from anxiety, high blood pressure, immune disorders, digestive problems and insomnia to name just a few. All you need to bring are a water bottle, small blanket, a favourite bed pillow if desired, and wear loose comfortable clothing. All other props are provided. 

At our relaxing one day restorative retreats you will be supported, nourished and nurtured in a peaceful rural setting. We hold these retreats on or close to the new moon phase to assist with the restorative and relaxation process. the weekend of the 21st June will also be the winter solstice, so is a particularly auspicious time. The cost is $88 for early birds...up to a week before commencement, and $110 after that. Cost includes a healthy vegetarian breakfast, morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. dietary requirements are catered for, just let us know. Please contact us to book your spot.
