General Yoga Class
This is a gentle class with emphasis on being aware of movement and breathing patterns to facilitate optimal movement patterns, as well as enhanced body awareness. Learn how to move in a way that is optimal for your own body. Through gentle enquiry, we become aware of our own strengths and limitations and learn to work within them in a holistic way. We are happy to work with other health practitioners to individualise your practice if need be.
Many students feel better after the first class.

Restorative Yoga classes are very relaxing and are a good complement to more active practices, or a stand alone practice in their own right. This style makes use of props such as bolsters, cushions, blocks, belts and eye pillows coupled with relaxing and supported postures that are held for several minutes. The lights may be dimmed and if it is chilly, you may be covered with a blanket since you will not be warming up the body the way you would be in a regular class. Our studio is fully heated in the chilly months.
The sessions include sound immersion, breath work and vivid visualisations to assist the body and mind’s natural return to a calm and relaxed state. Restorative yoga will leave you feeling calm and refreshed, and has long term health benefits for those suffering from problems such as high blood pressure, anxiety, insomnia and immune disorders to name just a few.
We will hold monthly classes from September 2019.
